Job Position: CDL Driver
Location: Le Mars, IA 51031
Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
Shift: M-F 6am to 3pm
Description: Key Responsibilities
Operate a rear load residential garbage truck in a safe and efficient manner
Complete daily residential waste collection routes on schedule
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation
Safely navigate residential streets, alleys, and tight spaces
Assist with loading and unloading waste containers as needed
Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
Report vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately
Work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ensure routes are completed with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Valid CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement preferred
Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
Previous waste industry or commercial driving experience preferred, but not required
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance
Ability to work early morning shifts and occasional overtime
Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle inspections
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to climb in and out of truck frequently throughout shift
Ability to work in outdoor environments, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks
